Urinary phytoestrogens and hyperuricemia risk in a nationally representative population: an effect modified by smoking status
Abstract Evidence on the relationship between phytoestrogen exposure and hyperuricemia remains limited and inconsistent. We investigated the associations of urinary phytoestrogens with serum uric acid concentrations and hyperuricemia risk in a nationally representative U.S. population and explored the potential effect modification by smoking status. This study included 8,160 participants aged 20 years and older from the 1999–2010 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).

Abstract Temporal alterations in the host lipidome and gut microbiome, and their dynamic interactions, in the progression of antenatal depression remain poorly understood. Here, we characterized the maternal lipidome and gut microbiome in 1086 Chinese pregnant women from the Tongji-Huaxi-Shuangliu Birth Cohort using 2954 serum and 2812 fecal samples collected longitudinally across early, mid, and late pregnancy.
