There is also a chance for lightning, although any storms are more likely across Eastern Oregon. The low pressure system moves into Idaho tomorrow, allowing the rain to taper off. Warmer and drier weather returns Friday, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 70s.

New Published September 16, 2026 3:08 am BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Central Oregon could see a few lingering showers this morning, but most of Wednesday will be quiet and cool. Highs will reach the 60s, with a few spots climbing into the low 70s. Winds will increase this afternoon and evening, with gusts near 25 to 30 mph. Another round of rain will move in from the east Thursday, bringing off and on showers before drier conditions return Friday. A warming trend will develop toward the end of the week.

Clouds will increase as we head into the afternoon before showers return. Most of the rain will stay near the mountains, but it could linger overnight into tomorrow. Lows will dip into the 30s and 40s. Highs will only reach the upper 60s on Wednesday as a low pressure system lingers.
