The Ben Franklin Bridge closed to vehicles for its 100th anniversary, drawing at least 50,000 people. Attendees walked, biked, and celebrated on the bridge, which connects Camden and South Jersey. The event included historical tributes, family activities, and a festival near the Camden toll plaza. A thunderstorm created a suspenseful end to the event for pedestrians still on the walkway.

Jim Walsh Cherry Hill Courier-Post July 13, 2026, 7:59 a.m. ET A Burlington City man has been charged in the June 2020 murder of Damian Hampton. The victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds outside an Edgewater Park apartment complex. Authorities charged Jevon Mobley after receiving the results of ballistic evidence testing. Mobley is being held in Burlington County Jail pending a detention hearing.
