In recent years, he has been hired as a writing coach and ghostwriter by companies looking to improve their content and communications.
He is the past president of the American Society of Journalists and Authors. As president, he helped negotiate an $18 million settlement in a class action copyright infringement case. He is also the past president of Fleet Park Little League in Norfolk, where he spearheaded a $210,000 renovation using public and private funds.
