1 INTRODUCTION During China's 40 years of reform and opening-up, the economy has experienced rapid development, with GDP increasing from 367.87 billion yuan in 1978 to 99.09 trillion yuan in 2019. The total value of goods imports and exports also increased from 35.5 billion yuan in 1978 to 31.55 trillion yuan in 2019. However, along with China's trade and economic growth, numerous issues have arisen, particularly a surge in energy consumption and worsening environmental pollution.
