A non-invasive model for diagnosis of primary Sjogren’s disease based on salivary biomarkers, serum autoantibodies, and Schirmer’s test - Arthritis Research & Therapy
This study was designed to identify non-invasive markers that could help diagnose pSjD. A total of 258 inpatients from the Department of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University between January 2021 and August 2022 were selected in our study. All of them were suspected pSjD patients when first admitted into the hospital and have been performed MSG biopsies which is a critical inspection for the classification of pSjD.
Targeting pathogenic fibroblast-like synoviocyte subsets in rheumatoid arthritis - Arthritis Research & Therapy
Direct depletion of pathogenic FLS subsets by targeting cell surface markers with antibodies, chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cells or vaccines might be the most effective way to target pathogenic FLSs in RA. Among these FLS cell surface markers, CDH-11 first attracted attention as a promising target for RA treatment. However, a phase II trial of monoclonal antibodies targeting CDH-11 (RG6125) in RA patients was discontinued in 2018 due to a lack of efficacy [43].
