A method for predicting tool remaining useful life based on a physics-informed neural network
Abstract This paper proposes a Physics-Informed Neural Network (PINN)-based method for tool remaining useful life (RUL) prediction by incorporating physical wear evolution laws into a data-driven prediction framework. The method improves prediction accuracy and enhances cross-scenario adaptability through consistency with tool wear mechanisms.
Clinically informed preoperative risk stratification for MRI-defined non gross-total resection in nonfunctioning pituitary neuroendocrine tumors: a single-center internal validation study
Abstract Introduction: Preoperative estimation of non-gross-total resection (non-GTR), as defined on early postoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), may support patient counseling and postoperative surveillance planning after surgery for nonfunctioning pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (NF-PitNETs). We evaluated whether a clinically informed, interpretable preoperative modeling strategy improved risk estimation compared with a reference strategy.
Chromosome-level genome assembly of two Chinese wild boars ( Sus scrofa )
Abstract The wild boar (Sus scrofa) is a widely distributed native wildlife species in China, where it plays an important role in diverse ecosystems. Current research on wild boars primarily focused on their geographical distribution, epidemiological investigation, and genetic relationship with domesticated pigs. However, our understanding of the genomic characteristics of wild boar remains limited.

Two-step purification of elastin-like polypeptide-fusion superoxide dismutase via hydrophobicity and thermoresponsiveness
1 Introduction Foam separation is an emerging separation technology that relies on the selective adsorption of substances at the gas-liquid interface. Its underlying principle is that surface-active materials have a propensity to accumulate at the interface, enabling the enrichment and separation of specific components. This technique has gained substantial attention in various fields, especially in the separation of proteins (Fang et al., 2023; Wang et al., 2023).

Single-cell analysis of the amphioxus hepatic caecum and vertebrate liver reveals genetic mechanisms of vertebrate liver evolution - Nature Ecology & Evolution
Abstract The evolution of the vertebrate liver is a prime example of the evolution of complex organs, yet the driving genetic factors behind it remain unknown. Here we study the evolutionary genetics of liver by comparing the amphioxus hepatic caecum and the vertebrate liver, as well as examining the functional transition within vertebrates.

Electron transfer-mediated triplet sensitization from CsPbI3 nanocrystals to fullerene for photon upconversion
Electron transfer-mediated triplet sensitization from CsPbI3 nanocrystals to fullerene for photon upconversion Extracting excitonic energy from halide perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) with molecules have gained extensive attention due to the potentials in photochemical and optoelectronics applications, however, extracting ways and efficiency are highly dictated by the subtle interplay between NCs and molecules.
Sustainability | Free Full-Text | Controlled-Release Blended Fertilizer Combined with Urea Reduces Nitrogen Losses by Runoff and Improves Nitrogen Use Efficiency and Yield of Wet Direct-Seeded Rice in Central China
4. Discussion 4.1. CRBF+U Reduced Nitrogen Loss by Runoff in Wet Direct-Seeded Paddy Fields Wet direct-seeded rice fields should be kept wet for about 20 days from sowing to the three-leaf and one-leaflet stage; soaking water discharge is common after basal fertilizer application. When heavy rainfall occurs in this period, the field water must be removed in time; otherwise, it will raise the risk of nitrogen and phosphorus loss much higher than that for mechanically transplanted rice.
Molecular Evolution of Interferon-Epsilon (IFNε) Pseudogene Modulates Innate and Specific Antiviral Immunity in Manis javanica
Interferon-Epsilon (IFNε) is a type of interferon, a protein that plays a role in the immune response to viral infections. This study is aimed at examining the molecular evolution of the IFNε pseudogene in Manis javanica, and it has been found to modulate the innate and specific antiviral immunity in this species. In this study, we identified that IFNε gene has undergone rapid evolution in Manis javanica, with the human and primate IFNε genes showing evidence of positive selection.
The Genetic Diversity and Interspecific Transmission of Circovirus in Rhizomys sinensis in Guangdong, Southern China
Circoviruses are a group of small circular, single-stranded DNA viruses that belong to the family Circoviridae. They are known to infect a wide variety of animals. Rhizomys sinensis is a species of rodent that is the reservoir of many zoonotic pathogens. Our previous study identified many sequencing reads mapped to the genome of viruses in Circoviridae in R. sinensis. However, little is known about the circulation and genetic characterization of circoviruses in R. sinensis.

Efficient acceptorless dehydrogenation of hydrogen-rich N-heterocycles photocatalyzed by Ni(OH)2@CdSe/CdS quantum dots Hydrogen storage using liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHCs) is a promising hydrogen storage technology; however, the hydrogen release process typically requires a high temperature. Developing dehydrogenation technology at mild conditions is highly desirable.

Atomically dispersed Mo catalysts for high‐efficiency ambient N2 fixation
NH3 synthesis by electrocatalytic N2 reduction reaction (NRR) under ambient conditions is an appealing alternative to the industrial method that requires high temperature and pressure. Herein, we report single Mo atoms anchored to N‐doped porous carbon, which works as a cost‐effective catalyst for NRR.
