1 Introduction Over the past decade, multimetallic catalysis has attracted significant attention because metal–metal (M–M) interactions can enable unique reactivities that mononuclear centers cannot access [1-10]. The ability of two adjacent metals to share electrons, activate substrates simultaneously, or facilitate multistep bond-forming events has driven extensive efforts in ligand design.
