Sibship size and children’s cognitive and non-cognitive outcomes: evidence from China
ABSTRACT This paper examines how sibship size affects children’s cognitive and non-cognitive skills using data from the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS). To obtain the causal effect of sibship size on child development, we use first-born twins as an instrumental variable for sibship size and find that a larger sibship size significantly reduces children’s literacy and maths test scores, but alleviates depressive symptoms.
Author Correction: IL-17D-induced inhibition of DDX5 expression in keratinocytes amplifies IL-36R-mediated skin inflammation
Correction to: Nature Immunology https://doi.org/10.1038/s41590-022-01339-3, published online 21 October 2022. In the version of this article initially published, in Fig. 2, the representative flow cytometry panel in Fig. 2h and the GAPDH loading control in Fig. 2b were inadvertently duplicated. In addition, an incorrect total cell number on the y-axis of Fig. 2h was entered during figure assembly. In Fig. 3, the p-AKT panel in Fig. 3h was inadvertently duplicated from the p-p38 panel in Fig.

Comprehensive analog signal processing platform enabled by acoustic charge transport in two-dimensional materials
Abstract Miniaturized, low-loss analog signal processing is crucial for next-generation wireless communication and sensing. Although two-dimensional acoustic charge transport (2D-ACT) devices integrating 2D field-effect transistors (FETs) with surface acoustic waves (SAWs) have substantial potential, previous work has been confined to dc operation, limiting real-time applications.

Capital misallocation in mergers and acquisitions
ABSTRACT This study identifies the factors that affect capital misallocation in Chinese M&A market, focusing on target firm’s intrinsic value and information quality. Our findings reveal that intrinsic value positively influences acquisitions premiums, while high-quality information mitigates this effect. This suggests that Chinese acquirers may overpay for target firm’s intrinsic value or that capital misallocation is prevalent in Chinese M&A market.

Author Correction: R-loop-dependent promoter-proximal termination ensures genome stability - Nature
Correction to: Nature https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-023-06515-5 Published online 9 August 2023 In the version of the article initially published, in Fig. 1e, the western blot probed with the PP2A-C antibody was inadvertently duplicated from the blot probed with the INTS4 antibody. This error occurred due to the mistaken use of an incorrect uncropped image during manuscript preparation. We have now traced the correct uncropped image and updated Fig. 1e, along with Supplementary Fig.
Catalytic-independent functions of the Integrator–PP2A complex (INTAC) confer sensitivity to BET inhibition - Nature Chemical Biology
Abstract Chromatin and transcription regulators are critical to defining cell identity through shaping epigenetic and transcriptional landscapes, with their misregulation being closely linked to oncogenesis. Pharmacologically targeting these regulators, particularly the transcription-activating BET proteins, has emerged as a promising approach in cancer therapy, yet intrinsic or acquired resistance frequently occurs, with poorly understood mechanisms.

Multiomics Analyses Reveal MsC3H29 Positively Regulates Flavonoid Biosynthesis to Improve Drought Resistance of Autotetraploid Cultivated Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.)
Alfalfa (Medicago sativa subsp. sativa), the “queen of forage,” is the most important perennial legume, with high productivity and an excellent nutritional profile. Medicago sativa subsp. falcata is a subspecies of the alfalfa complex and exhibits better drought tolerance. However, drought stress significantly hampers their development and yield. The molecular mechanisms underlying the aboveground and underground tissues of sativa and falcata responding to drought stress remain obscure.
68Ga-FAPI PET imaging monitors response to combined TGF-βR inhibition and immunotherapy in metastatic colorectal cancer
Abstract Introduction Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common malignancy, and metastasis is the major cause of mortality (1). Liver or peritoneal metastasis is common among patients with CRC, leading to a poor prognosis and short overall survival (2, 3). Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop effective strategies to improve the prognosis of patients with metastatic CRC. Immune checkpoint blockades (ICBs) bring hope for long-term survival of cancer patients.

Demethylase-independent roles of LSD1 in regulating enhancers and cell fate transition - Nature Communications
Abstract The major enhancer regulator lysine-specific histone demethylase 1A (LSD1) is required for mammalian embryogenesis and is implicated in human congenital diseases and multiple types of cancer; however, the underlying mechanisms remain enigmatic. Here, we dissect the role of LSD1 and its demethylase activity in gene regulation and cell fate transition.

Flexible GaN-based microscale light-emitting diodes with a batch transfer by wet etching
Abstract Flexible inorganic GaN-based microscale light-emitting diodes (µLEDs) show potential applications in wearable electronics, biomedical engineering, and human-machine interfaces. However, developing cost-effective products remains a challenge for flexible GaN-based µLEDs. Here, a facile and stable method is proposed to fabricate flexible GaN-based µLEDs from silicon substrates in an array-scale manner by wet etching.
