What was your first job as a journalist?
Travelling around Portugal in search of stories of unknown people for a weekly column at national Publico newspaper called Survivals.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
I've learn dactylography. Really useful for the computer's age.
How is social media changing news?
It's a way for journalists to do a permanent follow up on news and the public's interest on global events.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Paparazzo, from Federico Fellini's film La Dolce Vita.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To be the public eyes and ears on a specific issue or event. To be faithful to the true, to tell, explain and give context.

As a journalist doing its work.

TweetDeck, Crowdtangle, Adobe Suite, Facebook Signal, Tableau Publique...

To report on unreported stories.

Anytime.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
When I tried to debunk a story on a false plane crash in Canary Islands and the Huffington Post quoted me as the source of the false news.

Pure Water.

On the field.

French magazine "Diplomatie", or "XXI" the best paper magazine I know.
