MARION/ JEFFERSON CO—Temperatures have plummeted in the region ahead of a large winter storm set to hit the Marion and Jefferson County area this weekend. As residents prepare for anywhere between 5 and 16 inches of snow (depending on which weatherman you follow). Emergency Management officials across both counties have been preparing and planning for the possibility of opening temporary warming centers.
