The application of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) opens a new era for scientists to explore dynamic cell trajectories. One of the biggest challenges of scRNA-seq analyses is the cell type annotation. The first step of scRNA-seq involves cell isolation from the tissue/organ of interest to obtain their transcriptomic profiles. Such isolation usually leads to the loss of morphological information, which complicates subsequent cell type annotation.
