Of Category A Red 1 calls, the highest priority blue light calls, resulting in an emergency response, the proportion arriving within eight minutes was 69.9 per cent. For Category A Red 2 calls, slightly lower priority but still emergency blue light calls, 70.1 per cent arrived within eight minutes in December. The target is for 75 per cent of these calls to be responded to within eight minutes.
Stolen pets in Buckinghamshire being used for dog fighting
Dog fighting has been a documented problem in Chesham, as first reported by this paper in 2010. In 2011 and 2012 three Chesham men were jailed for dog fighting offences while another was handed a community order for being present at a fight. Now getbucks has received reports of dogs being snatched from places such as gardens, cars, outside shops and during walks by dog fighting gangs. Manager of Chilterns Dog Rescue Society Sara Muncke said petnapping for dog fighting is a problem in the town.
