Summer has arrived at the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre at 97 Queen St. and there will be something happening for everyone — but especially lots of events for the kids. Regular children’s library programs will be on a break from June 21-27. But we will be kicking off summer vacation with two big events. On June 26 at 11:30 a.m., join us for an all-ages, family fun event — the Dinosaur Detective with Tim Jeffries.

Charlottetown Farmers’ Market is so much more than a feel-good Saturday morning excursion. It is a hub for networking and socializing but also a significant source of income for about 60 Island small businesses. It is a key element of local food security and could be more significant if more people were to regularly buy produce, meat and other food products there. Local community resilience is also enhanced by buying locally produced crafts and other items at the farmers’ market.
