Dear Editor, This letter is in reference to an article recently published in the May 2023 edition of JVIM, “Benign ureteral obstruction in cats: Outcome with medical management.”1 This study reports on the clinical characteristics and outcome of a large cohort of cats treated medically for benign ureteral obstruction secondary to a number of causes including urolithiasis, pyonephrosis, and stricture.

Blue Buffalo is the latest pet food to be hit with a wave of consumer complaints alleging that pets became ill and, sometimes, died after eating it, even though the company has assured consumers the food is safe and the Food and Drug Administration has no record of any recent recalls or safety warnings.
