What was your first job as a journalist?

I wrote a column about my (mis)adventures in life.

How is social media changing news?

It's a constant source that never stops. You can find news anywhere at any time of the day.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

I prefer emails

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Literally too many to list but I'm always checking out new products.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I didn't. I never really thought about it but I always enjoyed writing.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Keep trying. Keep pushing forward.

What's your favorite drink?

bourbon or wine

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

In the kitchen.

Does Instagram count? Usually I read a collection in Flipboard.
