In 1997, living in my homeland of Cuba, the only way to keep up with metal was through a black market network of fellow fanatics, trading dubbed cassette tapes and passing around whatever had managed to cross whatever border it needed to cross. There was no internet to search, no record shop to order from. When a CD arrived, it felt like something close to a miracle.
