Joel Groover
Joel Groover’s Biography
I'm an Atlanta-based freelance writer who has covered commercial real estate for 22 years, primarily for Shopping Centers Today, the monthly magazine of the 70,000-member International Council of Shopping Centers. (ICSC has rebranded to Innovating Commerce, Serving Communities, and SCT is now Commerce + Communities Today.)
For more than 20 years, I have ghostwritten thought-leadership columns and blogposts and written and edited press releases, newsletter articles and website copy for PR clients from across the American economy, including companies in architecture, commercial real estate and asset-based lending.
These projects number in the thousands, and my collaborations with subject matter experts have appeared in outlets such as Progressive Grocer, Chain Store Age, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Law 360 and Construction Business Owner.
I earned my journalism degree from The University of Georgia and worked for The Marietta Daily Journal, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Shopping Center World and Art & Antiques prior to becoming a full-time freelancer in 2003.
