Minot city leaders want to know where the rest of the money from Project Bee went. This week, Minot City Attorney Stefanie Stalheim updated council members on what’s happening in court with Elizabeth Larsen, also known as Elizabeth Myers, the previous director of the non-profit Project Bee. The shelter abruptly closed in 2023.

Man on Minot Air Force Base arrested for sex crimes involving teen girl

MINOT, ND (KXNET) — A man from the Minot Air Force Base is now facing jail time after he’s being charged with sex crimes involving a teen girl. Workers from the Dakota Children’s Advocacy Center say they interviewed a teen girl who told them she went to the Minot Air Force Base to meet a man. Investigators in Ward County say the man, Jarred Mack, told the girl to hide under a blanket in the truck of his car as he snuck her onto the base.

Judge dismisses lawsuit over deadly shooting of man by Williston police

WILLISTON, ND (KXNET) — Nearly two years after police shot and killed a man in North Dakota, a lawsuit against the City of Williston has now been dismissed. The incident happened in July of 2024 when police in Williston were called about a man who had a weapon in an apartment building along 18th street. According to court documents, officers were told the man showed “signs of mental instability.” Police say the man, later identified as Matthew Gullo, was holding a knife.
