On Feb. 26, 2021, the Delaware Court of Chancery ruled that the board of directors of The Williams Companies breached its fiduciary duties by adopting a stockholder rights plan, otherwise known as a poison pill, because the Williams plan was overbroad and not appropriately tailored to a specific threat of stockholder activism.

The privately funded organization Puppies Behind Bars, which pays training expenses, began operating at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in Westchester in 1997 and has since expanded to include inmates at the Otisville, Downstate and Fishkill state prisons. According to the corrections department, puppies arrive at Otisville at eight weeks old and stay until two years old, living with and attending programs with the inmates raising them.

Twenty-one-year-old Ehkhu Hser Poe is accused of assaulting four people, including an officer. Court documents allege he was armed with a knife but don't indicate if he actually used the weapon. Poe was shot Aug. 14. He faces aggravated assault and drug charges. His bond was set earlier at $500,000 cash. The American News reports (http://bit.ly/2bsIAt4 ) Poe is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 1. It's not clear if he has an attorney.
