INTRODUCTION In May 2023, President Joe Biden, speaking at Howard University, declared that white supremacy was “the most dangerous terrorist threat” to the United States (Olorunnipa, 2023). This assertion was based on reports by the Department of Homeland Security (Swan, 2020). The United States is not alone in facing this threat. From the 2019 Christchurch shootings in New Zealand to the 2008 Skierlik township shootings in South Africa and beyond, white supremacist violence is spreading.
