It speeds publication rates, connects writers and readers, and converts reporters into often snarky commentators--a mixed bag all around.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To work hard at finding and revealing the truth, as best you can ascertain it on short notice. To be fair, accurate and tough.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
By email, but not a form email, and one that shows an understanding of what I cover.

Yes. Political columnist for Gonzaga College High School's The Aquilian.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
An investigation into how Boeing procured aluminum parts for aircraft, rockets and satellites that the company knew to be inferior.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Keep working. Don't give up. Don't be shy. Ask one more question. Have fun.
