I live in West Yorkshire and a mere half hour’s drive from the wonderful village of Saltaire with its glorious Victorian mill buildings and associated housing with railway, River Aire and Leeds Liverpool canal all passing through. It is a place frozen in time with its marvelous cobbled streets and back alleys and outbuildings. Its founder was the philanthropist and wool industrialist Sir Titus Salt.

A personal reflection and write-up tied to 401 Channelside Drive, the venerable ice palace known as Amalie Arena. It's not about events at the arena as-so-much the building's story of how it got built. And how the story is not all out there.

It was Point's 12th goal on the season and put Tampa Bay up 1-0 very early in play at Canadian Tire Center. Point had scored twice last night at MSG, helping the Bolts beat the Rangers, 3-2.
