Ty Segall – Running To Nowhere I don’t always dig what Ty Segall is doing, but when I do, I really do, like with this psychedelic single (and the really catchy one that came before it) off his new album, Chrome, which is due out August 28. Sweeping Promises – Accent With the arrival of this plucky number, Sweeping Promises are now 3/3 on singles off their new album, You Say I Romanticize. It’s going to be here on August 14, and I’m expecting it to be great.

Enjoy. Wishy – All The Rage This new single from Wishy is a jangly gem. I’m really looking forward to their impending album, Nature’s Pill, which will be here on October 2. Starcleaner Reunion – Never Odd Or Even Starcleaner Reunion just put out this infectious track and announced their debut album – it’s titled Umbrella and it’ll be released on September 25. By the way, the band had another single a couple of months back that’s also pretty great.

Pre-Screening Stance: I’m always down for another Evil Dead movie. I thought 2023’s Rise was a good time, and I don’t really have any reason to think that Burn won’t be as well. Post-Screening Ramble: Evil Dead Burn is exactly what it should be – a chaotic and gory film. At the same time though, I think it could have benefited from being a little less chaotic and gory. The setup for the story is quick – a deadite is awakened when a long lost dagger that can kill its kind is uncovered.
