Denza Z: 217mph Chinese EV supercar launched at Goodwood

The opening day of the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed saw the launch of the Denza Z: a fully electric supercar with an incredible 1,604hp. Created by the premium sub-brand of Chinese electric car giant BYD, three versions of the Denza Z will be sold in the UK at first. Buyers can choose between Coupe, open-top Spider and hardcore Racing variants. A Denza Z Special Edition is also being prepared for a lap-record attempt at the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

Hot Wheels crowns UK’s first F1 Tiniest Team Principal

Hot Wheels has named the first UK winner of its search to find the world’s Tiniest F1 Team Principal. Although he shares a surname with 2025 F1 drivers’ champion Lando Norris, eight-year-old George Norris is no relation to his racing namesake. However, his name proved to be good fortune, as George impressed the Hot Wheels judges to be named the UK’s Tiniest Team Principal.

Wild 2,000hp Hennessey Venom F5-M is at Goodwood this week

The demise of the manual supercar has been slotted into reverse, with the Hennessey Venom F5-M following the Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale in reviving the stick shift. However, unlike the Italian supercar and its trick automated manual ‘box – revealed earlier this week – the Hennessey Venom F5-M has a true mechanical transmission. The Texas-based tuning company had previously announced a manual version of its Venom F5-M hypercar in 2024. However, it has now stretched the F5-M’s limits even further.
