City of London’s Rolls-Royce limo converted to electric power

The City of London Corporation’s official limousine, a 1973 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI, has been converted into an electric vehicle. Commissioned by Alderwoman Dame Susan Langley DBE, the 697th Lord Mayor of the City of London, the battery-powered limousine is part of a plan to make the Corporation ‘net zero’ by 2027. Oxfordshire-based Electrogenic was handed the task of re-engineering the Rolls-Royce, having established a leading reputation for its bespoke EV conversions.

New eBay MOT hub can help drivers prepare ahead of tests

Online marketplace eBay has launched a new MOT Hub, aimed at helping UK drivers be ready for the annual vehicle inspection. Part of eBay's ‘My Garage' area on the website and smartphone app, the MOT Hub makes use of data taken from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). Once a driver enters their car's registration number into the eBay MOT Hub, DVSA data is used to establish which parts are most likely to be needed ahead of an upcoming test.

Bristol Cars set for comeback with V10-powered Fighter supercar

Bristol Cars is making another comeback, with an ambitious plan to revive the gullwinged Fighter supercar. Originally founded in 1945 as an offshoot of the Bristol Aeroplane Company, the first cars from the British marque were all based on pre-war BMW models. Spun off into an independent company in 1960, Bristol went on to develop its own luxurious and sporting cars, usually with enigmatic styling and big-block Chrysler V8 power.
