Severe storms that are rolling through the lake area have caused damage and power outages across the region. Several thousand are without power at the moment. There are reports of down trees all across the region. KRMS is assessing damage and will report further when able. Currently our stations are off the air due to the outages. The storms will continue and it is recommended that you go inside and stay in a sturdy shelter until the storms pass.

Many would probably argue but, according to a study by WalletHub.com, the Show-Me State ranks #22. The study compared the 50 states across 13 key indicators highlighted by Military Engagement which ranked Missouri 29th and Civic Engagement which ranked Missouri 21st.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s office is asking for your help in finding a missing woman. Officials say the 29-year-old has intellectual disabilities and is currently without her required medications. The woman, identified as Heaven Leigha Gemes, went missing on Monday from a location on Roulette Road in Waynesville, and has not been seen or heard from since. She’s described as a white woman, standing 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 136 pounds, with brown hair, blue eyes, and a nose ring.
