Property taxes are the only meaningful revenue townships have to support essential services. • Eliminated property taxes would force immediate and severe cuts to schools, road infrastructure and more. • Incorporation into another city is not an option for Plain Township. As Ohio considers a proposed constitutional amendment to eliminate property taxes statewide, it is critical to understand what is truly at stake, especially for communities like Plain Township.
