Severe Weather Possible Wednesday & Thursday

We could experience severe weather in Starved Rock Country midweek. The National Weather Service says there's an enhanced risk Wednesday for very high winds, hail, tornados and localized flash flooding. The precise timeline isn't known yet. A cold front Thursday could be the trigger for more severe weather. NWS advises you to have emergency supplies, know your safe place, have a family communication plan and have multiple ways to get warnings.

La Salle to pay AI company for data management on its sewers

To get money for upcoming sewer work, the City of La Salle has homework to do. To help City Engineer Brian Brown, aldermen Monday night approved paying Sewer A-I  $18,000 for sewer and stormwater data management over the next 12 months. This will help La Salle in its application for a $1.5 million dollar State Capital Development Board grant. Brown explains: Your browser does not support the audio element.

I V Indivisible active on "D-Day" Saturday

Illinois Valley Indivisible wasn't quiet over this past weekend. The protest group formed last year to speak out against Trump Administration policies and usually held gatherings at Ottawa's Washington Park. Several stood on the Route 23 Ottawa Veterans Bridge Saturday to remind passerbys that it was the anniversary of “D-Day”....the day the Allies went to work freeing Europe from the grip of Hitler.
