Plans to axe daily Travelcards in London are set to be dropped after a new deal was agreed. Transport for London looked to remove the daily option and consulted on plans earlier this year, claiming it cost them £40 million a year, and sought more funds from railway companies. That now appears to have happened, with day Travelcards remaining alongside longer length ticket options which were not threatened.

A new block set to provide 140 homes is now rising in Silvertown. The site was formerly a Ibis hotel on North Woolwich Road and sits just east of where the DLR turns north to serve London City Airport station. Located directly east of Pontoon Rach which recently completed and includes 295 homes, the site also sits beside another potential major area of development to the south. That’s known as Thames Road Quarter and could see 1650 new homes alongside a primary school plus a riverside park.
