John Tallodi’s Biography
John began his addiction with all things automotive at birth. After many failed attempts to redirect his attentions elsewhere, his family realised that it was incurable.
They soon resigned themselves to having to endure a lifetime of unsolicited car trivia facts.
Like any unchecked obsession, John’s automotive interests saw him collect and devour (in the literary sense) thousands of car magazines over the years. Many of which he still has for research purposes.
After completing a BCom degree and working in corporate Marketing jobs for some years, John realised that writing about cars was a far more agreeable pastime. Having already done some part-time work for various motoring publications, he jumped full-time into the world of motoring journalism.
10 years later and John has written for a broad variety of both print and online automotive publications. Highlights include interviewing fascinating personalities like the Bloodhound Land Speed Record team, becoming editor of the BMW Car Club magazine, covering the latest car launches and writing for prestigious publications like Magneto.
John has an obsession for factual accuracy and an encyclopaedic knowledge of some of the most obscure automotive trivia. This may have friends and family making elaborate excuses to leave the dinner table, but it does mean that his articles are always as well researched and prepared as possible.
Hobbies include attending skidpan days, breakfast runs, washing cars, driving for the fun of it, and, just to mix it up, some PC gaming, too.
