The first night of the NBA Draft is in the books, and for much of the evening, it felt uneventful. There were no trades involving draft picks during the first 15 selections. The board was, for the most part, chalk. The only time I felt a pulse was when Morez Johnson, Jr. jumped the board up to 9. But once Memphis went on the clock at No. 16, things started to get interesting. The Thunder traded with Memphis. Memphis then flipped the pick it acquired from Oklahoma City five spots back to the Pistons.
