Hampton Creek faces criminal probe in vegan mayo buybacks; Obama proposes 5-year plan for foreign entrepreneurs; And more news — Oh My-o: The Justice Department has initiated a criminal probe into whether Hampton Creek committed fraud when it bought its own vegan mayonnaise from stores, reports Bloomberg. That there were buybacks is not in dispute; whether those sales were booked as revenue is a problem (as is the actual popularity of the product).

Uber has already lost $1.2 billion this year, Mylan discounts the EpiPen; and more news — Uber lost $1.2 billion in Q1 and also told shareholders it expects to lose at least $100 million in Q2, Bloomberg reports. "It's hard to find much of a precedent for Uber's losses," Eric Newcomer writes. The majority of the hit is due to driver subsidies, which could be why Uber is desperately seeking an autonomous vehicle future.
