Bad Bunny's huge world tour show runs off one small rack of servers
Bad Bunny's record-breaking soldout tour was one of the hottest tickets in the UK this summer, drawing over 104,000 fans across the weekend of June 27th, 2026. The show was highly anticipated following his Album of the Year Grammy Award for Debí Tirar Más Fotos and history-making Super Bowl Halftime Show. But the excitement around the show wasn't just because of the scale of the artist, it was also due to the incredibly ambitious scale of the production.

These 9 Thunderbird features made me ditch Gmail for good Original
Jon Devo / Android Authority At the beginning of this year, I decided to ditch Gmail for the first time in about 15 years. It was not my plan to let down Google’s email app, as I have always enjoyed features such as Proofread, Confidential Mode, and Undo Send ( this one saved me once when I almost sent an email meant for my wife to my boss). But that does not mean it’s the best option for everyone.
I turned off these 8 Google Messages features, and the app is so much better now Original
Joe Maring / Android Authority Like most apps, Google Messages has evolved over the years to become one of the smartest messaging services out there. Whether it is read receipts, Gemini, typing indicators, or bubbles, you will find it on the texting app. While most users find these features helpful, some, like me, find them annoying and sometimes intrusive.
Opsodis 1 review: Super sonic surround sound for your desktop setup
Opsodis 1. While Kajima Corporation might be a new name to some, they’ve been masters of acoustic space since 1840, having designed and built many renowned theatres, music venues and cultural centres. The Opsodis 1 is essentially the culmination of 20 years of research with the University of Southampton’s Institute of Sound and Vibration Research. Bringing audio knowledge that delivers world-class concert hall acoustics and putting it into a desktop speaker.
Blackmagic Pyxis 12K review: a resolution giant in a medium-sized package
Blackmagic Pyxis 12K camera with lens attached. Blackmagic’s Pyxis 12K arrives as one of the most compelling cinema cameras of the moment, packing a full-frame 12K RGBW sensor and wide 16-stop dynamic range into the same compact, modular body that made the Pyxis 6K so popular.
Cameras have had their best year since 2019, but this is what photo brands must do to survive the next five years
Jon Devo standing behind a display of Panasonic mirrorless cameras and lense. Last year was a bumper one for camera sales, with well over 100 per cent year-on-year growth. It was actually the best sales year for camera retailers since 2019, with over six million units sold – and that's not even including the used camera market. Interestingly, the positive upward trend in the industry is not confined to sales of new point-and-shoot digital cameras that we've been seeing for a few years now.

Hypershell X Ultra review: the bionic exoskeleton redefining outdoor endurance
During my tester day of the world’s first consumer-level outdoor exoskeleton, I was taken on a short hill hike, about 30 minutes to a beautiful viewing spot above Berlin. It also involved a multi-storey staircase on a hot, sunny day. I typically run about 3°C hotter than the average person and was bracing for fatigue. This is where I experienced the first core benefit of Hypershell’s power: effort reduction. I finished the ascent without sweating buckets or the quad burn I was expecting.

The shift towards Chinese dominance is reshaping the camera industry

"AI is already helping filmmakers bring ideas to life… without wasting precious time on something that may not even work"
Jon Devo July 6, 2024 at 5:11 AM·3 min read We’re beginning to see some real-world examples of AI-generated content’s utility go mainstream, thanks in part to the weight of companies like Adobe and OpenAI going all out to bring generative AI technology to the masses. A year after its release, the latest iteration of Adobe Firefly is starting to look like a real contender as a tool for AI content.

Mind-reading computers that can produce high-fidelity images from your thoughts alone are coming sooner than you think
Mind-reading computer systems that can produce high-fidelity images from your thoughts alone are coming. Are we a decade or less away from being able to think images into existence? But before we dig into the long answer, let’s first answer the question of how this might be possible. Meta, the parent company of Facebook, recently began sharing the early results of a project, dubbed DINOv2, that has been in development for the past couple of years.

Apple's new VR headset may make you want to start thinking more about how the content you capture today will be viewed in tomorrow’s world
The world’s global tech superpowers are intent on corralling mankind into a virtual world – and the latest attempt comes from arguably the biggest hitter, Apple. At the company’s 2023 Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple CEO Tim Cook used his “one more thing” moment to reveal the Apple Vision Pro mixed-reality headset and its all-new operating system; visionOS. Yesterday, Apple announced at CES 2024 that the headset will go on sale from next month So what is it, and why is it a big deal?
Unboxing ain’t what it used to be: I review cameras for living, and I’m glad cameras come in less packaging than they used to
I review cameras and technology for a living, so I love an unboxing experience. Unboxing cameras and technology in general has been one of my favorite things about the job I’m fortunate enough to do. But unboxing a new camera is even more special when you don’t do it for a living and when the camera is one you’ve saved up for and purchased yourself. I remember unboxing the first Canon DSLR that I’d bought, the EOS 40D.
I can’t wait for Paris 2024 - I love Olympic years, what a time to be a photographer!
So 2024 is here, and I’ve been looking forward to it for a long time. Why have I been so excited, you may ask? It’s because 2024 is an Olympic year, which is always a big deal for the camera world, and for the wider technology world. Olympic and World Cup years tend to herald the largest leaps in camera specs and features, as well as screen technology, because the games are the perfect opportunity for brands to show off what their kit is capable of.
I’d love to see camera companies just making the best camera they can with each generation
Dual camera and development announcements – I hate them. They make little sense from a consumer or a brand perspective. As a person who buys cameras, why would I buy a ‘lesser’ model now, knowing a similar model with slightly better specs is being released a few months later? From a brand perspective, why cut your next camera release’s legs off at the knees? Unless the aim is to put people off buying the latest camera and drive sales to the following one?
If most smartphone improvements are software-based, why should I spend big on the latest devices?
If you’ve ever owned a simple point-and-shoot digital camera or a bridge camera, you’ll be familiar with ‘Intelligent Auto’, ‘Superior Auto’ or ‘Creative Assist’ – functions designed to help people get the best shots, depending on the scene or scenario. It uses algorithms built into the image signal processor of the camera to assess the shooting conditions and automatically select the best settings.
Blackmagic Camera feels to me like a sign of things to come - and an exciting new direction for camera control
Every year, it feels as though we hear about some development in the world of technology that will ‘change photography or film-making forever’, whether it’s some fancy new phone with a 100MP+ camera sensor or a mirrorless camera with ‘all the Ks’-resolution video. Yet you may have noticed that, for the most part, the practical process of pointing your camera at your subject, pressing the shutter or record button and then editing the content at your computer hasn’t changed all that much.
Are you getting bored of camera companies reusing components and body styles for new releases?
The size and design of camera bodies have traditionally been used to help photographers tell the difference between different classes of camera; that, and often baffling naming conventions. But for the majority of my 20-plus year career in image-making, the big, serious cameras with all of the buttons were strictly for professionals, while the smaller, more approachable camera bodies with simpler functionality were for semi-pros and amateurs.
Introducing AI image generation into my photography workflow opens up a whole new world of possibilities
Recently, a client approached me with the idea of doing a photoshoot, but editing the final images in the style of a graphic novel or computer game. Growing up, I loved drawing comic-book images, and spent many years on DeviantArt. But those days are behind me, and I wasn’t sure I’d be able to deliver. That’s when I decided to turn to AI image generation. AI image generation uses machine-learning algorithms to generate new images based on text prompts and existing images.

Panasonic Lumix S 18mm f/1.8 lens review
Creating a lens range that has appeal to both videographers and photographers is a challenging prospect, but with the lenses that have come before the Panasonic Lumix 18mm F1.8, Panasonic’s Lumix brand has been delivering. And an ultra-wide-angle prime lens it is an obvious choice when looking for a lens for video. Saramonic BlinkMe B2 review
I first came across the Saramonic BlinkMe B2 microphone setup at NAB Show in Las Vegas, while touring stands in search of interesting mic solutions. Saramonic makes a range of audio gear for creators, but these stood out because of their eye-catching round LED display. Clip-on microphones rarely draw attention for the right reasons; if anything we usually want to hide them.
How to start monetising your video content
Bringing in some extra money is always a good option if you have the capacity. Even if you don’t have time to create video content full-time, it can be an excellent way to add a secondary stream of income. Video content is still the fastest growing form of content consumed online, with the podcast sector making a huge contribution to that trend. But where do you start? How do you decide which type of video content to focus on?

Ultra E-Bike Review
By Jon Devo on December 21, 2021 Cycling Ultra E-Bike gives you a great alternative to making a costly investment in an electric bike or more still, an electric car. Google Pixel 6 Pro Review
Google devices have led the way in computational photography for a number of years now. Reluctant to adopt multi-camera systems for a number of years, Pixel’s popularity among photographers proved empathically that camera software was every bit as important as camera hardware. But as the competition was beginning to pull away in terms of both software and hardware, it was time for the Google Pixel team to step up to the challenge of putting out a genuine Flagship Smartphone contender.

How to make a genuinely inclusive phone camera
The challenge of getting colour balance right is one as old as film itself.
