Mother of Ravens star Calais Campbell killed in Atlanta, brother charged with murder

Police are investigating the brother of Ravens defensive lineman Calais Campbell in the death of their mother, who was found dead in the brother’s Atlanta home Tuesday. Ciarre Campbell, 41, was arrested and booked into Fulton County Jail early Wednesday morning, according to public records. He faces charges of murder, aggravated assault and gun possession. Police found Nateal Campbell, 71, during a welfare check at Ciarre Campbell’s Buckhead home on Tuesday afternoon.

Kyle Youmans named ‘Voice of the Ravens,’ replacing Gerry Sandusky

Youmans (pronounced YO-mans) replaces Gerry Sandusky, who retired in April as the Ravens’ play-by-play announcer for in-season radio and preseason TV broadcasts.

The Washington Wizards will host an NBA draft party next Tuesday night for fans, the team announced, part of a week of community events celebrating the franchise’s past and present. The Wizards, who hold the No. 1 overall draft pick for the first time since 2010, are hosting the draft party at The Anthem at The Wharf in Washington’s Southwest Waterfront neighborhood. Doors open at 5:45 p.m., and the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a Wizards-branded rally towel.
