The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to a three-year, $165 million contract extension with quarterback Baker Mayfield, a league source confirmed to The Athletic. Mayfield, 31, joined the Buccaneers in 2023 on a one-year, $4 million deal. He was part of a quarterback competition with Kyle Trask and John Wolford to determine who would be the successor to Tom Brady, who retired following the 2022 season.

LATROBE, Pa. — Every year, often more than once a year, DK Metcalf gives some of his salary back to the NFL. In 2024, his final season with the Seattle Seahawks, the wide receiver was fined twice for a total of more than $33,000. Last year, after signing a $132 million contract extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers following a trade, he was docked another $26,000 for fighting and making an obscene gesture.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has signed a four-year contract extension, the league announced Sunday. Goodell, 67, has held the commissioner role since 2006. He last received an extension in 2023 that was set to expire in March 2027. The latest extension marks his fifth after he agreed to new deals in 2009, 2012, 2017 and 2023. This extension runs through the 2030 season and expires March 31, 2031.
