Introduction Background The COVID-19 pandemic, caused by SARS-CoV-2, remains a significant global health concern. Antibodies play a crucial role in immune protection against viral infections by neutralising the virus and providing immunity. However, SARS-CoV-2 antibody levels wane over time, as it is inefficient for the immune system to maintain a constant, high-level defence against a specific virus.
