Analysis Unweighted average and IPW were used to estimate annual HF cost per patient. For the unweighted average, the cost incurred in the outpatient setting was first divided by the duration of follow-up (in months) for each patient, then converted to annual cost by multiplying by 12 months and dividing by the total number of patients to obtain the mean annual outpatient cost per patient. The mean annual inpatient cost per patient only includes hospitalised patients.
