On a recent Saturday, a trailer with a locomotive horn and a locomotive bell mounted on a bright yellow tower was parked at Longview’s Safety City, a miniature city-themed location for children’s events on Cotton Street. A large sign on the trailer read: “LIFE IS WORTH THE WAIT.” The trailer was there for a reason.

Witnesses of a now-viral June assault at a Longview bar said they heard at least one person make racial comments before a woman was assaulted, according to court documents. Ciarrianne Fuller, 21, of Longview, Dejae Brown, 21, of Pittsburg, and Alana Mumphrey, 21, of Longview, are charged with assault causing bodily injury in connection with an assault in the parking lot at Whiskey J’s bar.
