What was your first job as a journalist?
None so far. Still working on getting my education first, however, I am working for my college's publication, if that counts.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
No not at all.
How is social media changing news?
I think the way its presented, literally in the palm of our hands and a click of a button.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
The one that comes to mind first is Peter Parker, in other words, Spider-Man.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being a journalist means providing people with reliable, informative, and trustworthy sources and valuable news.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
If someone were to pitch me in a story I think that's what you mean. Maybe as a profile.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
My laptop, notebook, google docs or microsoft word, Adobe software etc.
What's your favorite social network?
I'm usually on Instagram the most. While it can be incredibly toxic at times, I have a lot of conversations online there with friends.

Celebrity wise? Probably one of my singers, Abel Testfaye otherwise known as The Weeknd
Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist as I love writing especially about topics I'm passionate about such as music, politics, culture, news etc.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Oddly enough, my High School didn't have a newspaper at least to my knowledge. It was just announcements in the morning as the only form.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
It's between my Cesar Chavez opinion piece or an editorial piece on "The Best Albums of 2025" I did alongside my friends.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
A quote from my professor "If your stressing out it means your doing your job right."

Dr. Pepper but I love a good iced coffee
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Glued to my phone, writing, out with friends, eating.

Some include Rolling Stone, Interview Magazine, Super Street car magazine, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times etc.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
I guess I haven't been a journalist for long to know to this as well. It'll take time for me to truly know.
