Taft edged in season opener, drop doubleheader at Antelope Valley

Posted: Apr 20, 2021 After a cancelled game and two postponements, the 2021 Taft College softball season finally got underway. But it wasn't the start head coach Gabrielle Brixey was likely hoping for. The Cougars couldn't hold a late lead and fell 6-5 in the opening game of a doubleheader at Antelope Valley College. Shortly after, TC suffered through a 16-2 defeat in Game 2. Freshman Anne Procell had a huge collegiate debut for the Cougars.
