Singer and songwriter, Clarence "Frogman" Henry passed away, after years of declining health, on Sunday, April 7, 2024. He was 87. Frogman's song "Ain't Got No Home" was the inspiration for OffBeat Magazine's Jazz Fest Bible cover in 2006, as it reflected the situation for so many New Orleanians after Hurricane Katrina and the failure of the levees devastated the city. Henry was born in New Orleans' Seventh Ward on March 19, 1937. In 1948 his family moved to the Algiers neighborhood.
