The fire was reported at 9:07 a.m. at 203 Linwood Ave., where first-arriving crews found it in a second-floor bedroom. Firefighters from stations throughout Lower Merion extinguished it quickly, said Tom Hayden, chief of the Merion Fire company of Ardmore.
