The Millers lost 2-1 last night, a result which sees them sliding towards the championship relegation zone, and matters got worse when a number of social media posts containing racist language were brought to the clubs attention.

At a time where the cost of living is hitting local people hard, United fans have found a welcome distraction to some of life’s problems, with the Blades also reaching the semi final of the FA Cup, where they lost out to Manchester City at Wembley.

On the way back - The rise, fall and redemption of Dejphon Chansiri
There has rarely been a quiet time at Hillsborough under the ownership of Dejphon Chansiri, with many ups and downs since taking charge of the club in 2015. After Saturdays 1-0 win home win against Peterborough, Chansiri was seen standing tall and waving a flag whilst being serenaded by Owls fans, a sight that no one would have been able to contemplate just 18 months ago.

CM Punk is all out of excuses
CM Punk may be the best in the world, but his legacy in wrestling will look much differently. A lot can change in 380 days. August 20, 2021, was a muggy Midwest summer night. As AEW Rampage went on the air at 9:00 pm local time, it was still in the low-80s outside.
Happy birthday, While Rome Burns!
Thank you for not writing "Happy Birthday, While Rome Burns" on the side of a dilapidated trailer. Photo courtesy of Wikimedia Commons Someone just had a birthday! Your favorite bloggers at While Rome Burns just celebrated the big ... uh, one? Like your favorite one-year-old infant, we're still learning to stand on our own. But we're doing it, and everyone who is along for the ride is pretty excited! Right? RIGHT???
Triple H's white rabbit is a sign of change in WWE
Triple H (left) has proven himself to be one of the best minds in the pro wrestling business. Photo courtesy of Wikimedia Commons Jon Moxley has never been the type of guy to pull punches, both in and out of the ring. Shortly before leaving WWE in 2019, Moxley - then working for the company as Dean Ambrose - said this about his former foe, and then-boss, Triple H.
The Curious Case of Christian Pulisic
American soccer's Prince That Was Promised has come and gone plenty of times. John O'Brien made waves with Ajax Amsterdam, but never became America's first true soccer superstar. Freddy Adu, billed as " the next Pele," missed that lofty comparison by a wide margin. Christian Pulisic was different. He signed with Borussia Dortmund, a former Champions League finalist with a reputation for developing top talent, at just 16 years of age.

Your favorite neighborhood bloggers at While Rome Burns know things about stuff. One of the things we know stuff about is sporpsball! (Wait, did we spell that wrong? Nah, probably not.) Although everyone's favorite sporpsball league officially began Thursday night with (insert result), the 2022 NFL season begins in earnest later today. Lucky for you impatient types, we gathered some of our knowers of things to make picks for the 103rd season of NFL football.
2022 NFL quarterback power rankings
I don't normally start my work with someone else's words. But, like everything else in life, there is an exception. The Ringer's Danny Heifetz wrote in 2020 about analysis passed along to him by former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky and former NFL staffer and college quarterback Nate Tice. Heifetz wrote: This is easily my favorite observation about NFL quarterbacks, and a concept that comes into play early and often as you work your way through these rankings.
Brewers at Cubs: Game Three Preview
Nearly half of the 20 games both the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs have played thus far in 2021 have been against one another. These heated division rivals have split the first two games in each of their three series, with both series finales going the way of the Brew Crew. Those two Milwaukee victories are the difference between the first-place Brewers (12-8) and the Cubs (10-10), who enter Sunday’s action tied with the St. Louis Cardinals for second in the National League Central.

(Photo courtesy of Morry Gash/AP) St. Louis’ Gateway Arch, which towers over the right-center field scoreboard at Busch Stadium, represents America’s journey west of the Mississippi River. Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell likely hopes his team takes inspiration Saturday and finds the gateway to their journey away from the offensive struggles that have plagued the team over the last five contests.
DIY Rocket Stove Designs
I fashioned my first rocket stove out of three cinder blocks, a couple of chunks of paving slab, a rusty can, and a brick that I dug out of an industrial dump beside the Kalamazoo River. It was free, DIY, and as ugly as could be. My second rocket stove was made from the same materials, and wasn’t much prettier.
Raising Omega-3-Rich Chicken | MOTHER EARTH NEWS
In response to news that Omgea-6s and Omega-3s are out of balance in the standard Western diet, health-minded consumers now purchase pasture-raised poultry meat and eggs. However, as demand increases, many consumers are priced out of healthful food markets. Thankfully, small-scale poultry providers — oftentimes called “flocksters” — offer us a workable model to produce omega-3-maximized chicken, eggs, and other poultry products on a modest budget.
Omega-3, Omega-6 Fatty-Acid Testing
MOTHER EARTH NEWS facilitated a pilot test over the summer and early fall of 2015 to examine the fatty-acid profiles of 32 grass-fed, free-ranged and pastured cows, lambs, pigs and chickens. At this point in the omega-6, omega-3 fatty-acid testing program, we’ve analyzed results from about 30 samples.
8 Critical Skills of Effective Design Leaders
Inspiring, confident, and creative are all traits you’d likely expect of strong design leaders, and these qualities are absolutely necessary. But how do they inspire with confidence and creativity? With experience, hard work, and talent, for sure — but it goes beyond that. As Jared Spool of Center Centre-UIE points out, design leadership is not design management. “Management is essential for a design team to succeed,” he writes. “But it’s not design leadership.
Why Version History Is Not Version Control
This post was co-written by Abstract co-founders Josh Brewer and Kevin Smith. We launched Abstract with a lofty mission to redesign the design process. We started by supporting Sketch, one of the fastest growing and most widely used product design tools on the market. Now, with our Adobe XD integration on the horizon, we’re stepping onto a new stage as a company.
The Sky Ain’t the Limit
It was 1940, and the Allied forces supply lines were heavily under attack—losing ships, men, and thousands of tons of vital supplies to enemy submarines each month. A man named Henry J. Kaiser won a contract to build cargo vessels for the British war effort. Less than a year after Kaiser secured the contract, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, devastating the naval fleet stationed there. Suddenly the United States found itself at war.
Homemade All-Natural Paw Balm Recipe
Winters in the north woods are brutal. Lake Superior throws out spectacular gales every November and some 300 inches of snow between the first and last snowfalls. While we talk a lot about the tough folks who weather those winters, the pups and felines of the Northern Great Lakes are pretty tough, too. That said, their paws can use some TLC, especially when it’s minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit outside and the wind and snow are blowing.
It's Time for Tax Relief for Community Energy Investment
By Josh Brewer 18 October 2018 Photo credit: Westmill Solar Last week the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released a report highlighting the potentially catastrophic results if global warming is not limited to 1.5°C. In a strongly worded message it warned that failure to meet this target could lead to food shortages, a rise in extreme weather events such as droughts and storms and a mass die-off of coral reefs.
The champion that never was
Tanner Harding and Josh Brewer December 16, 2015 Quinnipiac left the NEC for greener pastures, but left behind a chance at a championship. Quinnipiac switched from the Northeast Conference to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in the 2013-14 season, but many surrounding the men’s basketball team were left wondering: what if? What if the Bobcats stayed in the NEC for that season?
Chaise Daniels’ impact
Tanner Harding and Josh Brewer December 8, 2015 Sophomore forward Chaise Daniels likely suffered an ACL injury during the first half of Quinnipiac’s Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference 76-72 loss to Niagara on Dec. 4 and didn’t return, according to head coach Tom Moore after Quinnipiac’s win over Canisius. Daniels arguably affected the game more than any other Bobcat through the team’s first five games.
