A sea of purple and plaid is expected Thursday afternoon in Paul Bunyan Park as Viking fans record the Skol chant. Lead by the Bemidji Chamber of Commerce, fans are asked to gather at the statues of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox at 4:15p.m. Those who wish to take part are asked to wear either red and black plaid or purple and gold to show their Bemidji and Vikings spirit. The video of the chant will be shared with media outlets across the state.
With the scene set for some winter fun, some people have been left wondering which winter activities will still take place since the announcment that Bemidji’s Winterfest was put on hiatis. With pond hockey and curling taking a break this year, some Winterfest staples will still take place, beginning with the BRRRmidji Plunge. On Sunday, four people were arrested after authorities seized drugs, guns, and $18,000 cash in Red Lake. According to a Facebook post by the Red Lake Police Department, authorities executed a drug related search warrant at a Red Lake residence where officers located methamphetamine, prescription pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia along with miscellaneous items associated with drug sales. Officers also located children in the residence during the execution of the search warrant.

Find results that mention multiple specified terms, use AND or

Exact case matching or punctuation
If you're searching for a brand name or keyword that relies on specific punctuation marks or capitalization, you can
find results that match your exact query by adding matchcase: before the keyword you're searching for, like matchcase:E*TRADE .
Use parentheses to separate multiple
boolean phrases. For example, to find journalists talking about having fun in Disney World or
Disneyland, search for ("disney world" OR disneyland) AND fun.
An asterisk can be used to search for any variation of a root word truncated by the asterisk. For example, searching for admin* will return results for administrator, administration, administer, administered, etc.
A near operator is an AND operator where you can control the distance between the words. You can vary the distance the near operation uses by adding a forward slash and number (between 0-99) such as strawberries NEAR/10 "whipped cream", which means the strawberries must exist within 10 words of "whipped cream".
