Two and three years ago, it was West Catholic’s Budd Clark who starred for the North Andover (Mass.) school, whose athletics teams joined Division I for the 2019-20 season. Last season, Father Judge’s Kevair Kennedy and Ernest Shelton were the two leading scorers for the Metro Conference’s regular-season champs.

It was those eight minutes, which began with WeR1 trailing KC Run GMC by 18 at halftime and ended with them within a bucket, that changed the whole tournament for WeR1, a Delaware-based program that includes quite a bit of Philly-area talent.
