Another nice day is in store for today with comfortable humidity, comfortable temperatures, and a good amount of sunshine. We’ll increase the clouds this afternoon and evening ahead of our rain chances that will return overnight. The showers and a few storms will hold off until after midnight. Tomorrow the humidity returns along with the chance of scattered showers and storms. Scattered is the key word here because this is not an all day rain.

After yesterday’s gloom, we are getting a great payoff with sunshine, mild temperatures, and comfortable humidity for the next two days. In fact much of the 7 day forecast is looking really good — a few spot showers here and there with the only wetter day on tap for Friday. But even that doesn’t appear to be a washout. Humidity is falling this morning. That, combined with sunshine, mild temperatures, and a breeze that’s just enough to push out the sea breeze will give us a gorgeous afternoon.

Much needed rain made a return to New England yesterday afternoon and has continued into this morning. Yesterday evening we had some heavy rain in spots and that continued into this morning too — especially down across the South Coast where a flash flood warning was in effect for rainfall rates of 3+” per hour! That led to road closures and stranded cars. If you run into a flooded roadway, make sure you “turn around, don’t drown”.
