Josh Bartch is a business consultant, investor, and entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in international capital markets. He has led and supported various ventures throughout his career, working on deals that collectively exceed a billion dollars in value. His work primarily centers on mergers and acquisitions, deal structuring, financing strategies, and supporting companies as they enter or grow within public markets.
He is the CEO of MavDB Consulting, LLC, and the founder of Blackstone Mercantile Group. He focuses on helping companies develop clear strategies for market expansion and investor engagement. His background includes working with businesses listed on leading global exchanges such as the NYSE, Nasdaq, LSE, Euronext, Canadian Securities Exchange, and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. These experiences gave him a strong foundation in international regulatory environments and financial systems.
Josh Bartch grew up in Denver, Colorado, and launched his first company while studying at Colorado State University. He sold that business successfully, setting the stage for future ventures. In 2007, he co-founded a digital transcription company that served legal, medical, and academic professionals. The platform became known for its dependable service and wide client base across the U.S.
In 2011, he created a private investment and advisory firm focused on early and growth-stage businesses. This firm supported companies in industries such as technology and consumer goods by helping them raise capital, develop strategic partnerships, and prepare for public listings. His hands-on approach gave clients the tools to grow in fast-moving markets.
In 2020, he moved to Puerto Rico and established MavDB Consulting, LLC. The firm guides capital markets, investor relations services, and support for cross-border listings. Working alongside company executives and boards, he helps shape strategies that drive visibility, improve operations, and position businesses for growth. His work through MavDB is known for being direct, collaborative, and tailored to the needs of each client.
In 2024, he founded Blackstone Mercantile Group Ltd SAC, a smart fund based in the Bahamas. The fund operates within the country’s Smart Fund regulatory structure and is designed for experienced investors. Its goal is to deliver returns by identifying opportunities in global capital markets while maintaining a balanced and risk-aware approach. The fund reflects his commitment to building solutions that align with today’s financial environment and investor expectations.
Over the years, Josh Bartch has been directly involved in structuring public market transactions and helping companies navigate the challenges of becoming publicly listed.
