What was your first job as a journalist?
I did some freelancing years ago for the now-defunct Clay County Leader in Clay County, Florida.
How is social media changing news?
Social media has been changing news for the good and the worst. While easier for leads, verifying the facts has become more difficult.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
What a journalist means to me is being an effective and factual reporter that researches and provides the facts for the target audience.

I use Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite as the primary software tools to do my job.
What's your favorite social network?
Even despite all the news surrounding Elon Musk, Twitter is still my favorite social network as it has been effective in sports reporting.
Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist because of the ability and freedom to focus on different subjects of interest.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
Looking into a controversial issue affecting a high school coach that does not fit the objective of my publication.
What's your favorite drink?
Sweet Tea. I am from the South!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
At a high school football field covering a high school football game or a girls flag football game.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
There are many different publications I like to read, but I like what Politico has done with their content over the years.
