Dignity Therapy for End-of-Life Care Patients: A Literature Review

Background/ Introduction Dignity therapy was first developed as a way to assist patients in dealing with the approach to end of life (1). This intervention helped to conserve the dying patient’s dignity by addressing the sources of psychosocial and existential distress. It gave patients a chance to record the meaningful aspects of their lives and leave behind what can benefit loved ones in the future (2).
