Perfect Pats Southeastern Championship Wrestling is making its return on July 24 at Gibson Field at Jacksboro Middle School. The event will be used as a fundraiser for the Jacksboro Middle School football program. The doors open at 6 p.m. and bell time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Admission for the event is $10 and for kids 12 and under the price is $5.

The Campbell County Board of Education met on Tuesday night for its regular monthly meeting. During the meeting Christopher Enix presented a slideshow based on data that showed the academic achievement in Campbell County Schools in 2025 compared to 2026. The main metric that showcased success in the slideshow was grades that met and exceeded expectations. According to the report summary the met and exceeded expectations metric is a better college readiness metric compared to the typical pass fail.

The Town of Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen met on Monday night for its regular monthly meeting and approved the fire department to replace a rear spring on fire engine 1 with the cost expected to be around $12,000. The repair cost was budgeted for and the company the town will be working with on the repair is Driven Fire Trucks and Emergency Vehicles. In police department business the board approved the purchase of a 2027 Dodge Durango.
